GitInformed Privacy Policy

Effective Date: June 29, 2026

GitInformed is an AI-news tracking and editorial discovery tool. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how the Reddit Devvit bridge supports the public trending-topics rail.

1. Information We Collect

GitInformed may collect standard website analytics such as page views, device and browser information, referrers, and approximate region. We do not require user accounts and do not sell personal information.

The Devvit bridge reads public Reddit post metadata from configured public subreddits, including post titles, public discussion URLs, subreddit names, public author names when available, timestamps, scores, comment counts, flair, and thumbnail URLs.

2. How We Use Information

We use website analytics to understand site performance and usage. We use public Reddit post metadata to rank and display trending AI and technology topics on GitInformed.

GitInformed does not collect Reddit private messages, votes, private subreddit content, full comment bodies, or private user data through the Devvit bridge.

3. Sharing

We do not sell personal data. Public story and social-signal metadata may be shown on GitInformed as part of the editorial product. We may use service providers for hosting, analytics, and database infrastructure.

4. Data Retention

Public news and social-signal records may be retained to preserve story context and trend history. Analytics data is retained according to the policies of the analytics provider and our operational needs.

5. Contact
